Care and Prayer on the roads really can save lives

Prayer page

The CRSA is firstly and foremost a body of prayer. Members pledge to pray regularly for road safety.

Prayer is such an important aspect of the Christian life ("the Christian's vital breath"). Therefore, if you would like us to pray for the victim of a road accident, their families, or the bereaved, or perhaps you may have a particular road safety prayer request, please email us in confidence below.

Paul said, "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus". Philippians 4:4

Road Safety Day of Prayer

Since November 2001, the Christian Road Safety Association has been encouraging churches, chapels and fellowships to consider holding an annual Road Safety Day of Prayer. You can of course hold a road safety service at any time of the year and to assist in this process a copy of the road safety prayer is published below. Members of the Association are also encouraged to include road safety prayers as part of their normal Sunday worship or make road safety a theme for worship.

If you would like further details, please Contact us.

Road Safety Prayer
Loving Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your most precious gift of life
which no-one has the right to take away.
Send your blessing on all who use the roads today,
whether driving, riding or walking,
that they may be kept safe from harm.
Give all road users a sense of responsibility toward others;
that they may at all times show care,
courtesy and consideration for others.
Bless, also, those who are called upon to deal with the aftermath of accidents,
including the police, fire brigade and paramedics,
that they may have the strength to cope.
Be with the relatives and friends of all victims of road accidents;
comfort and strengthen them to face the future.
Guide me, that I may do nothing to cause harm to anyone else or myself.
Keep me, and all those I love, safe in all our journeying.
We ask these things through your Son, our Saviour,
Jesus Christ. Amen.
